Woman, Erol Alkan, Propellerheads and

GO HOME PRODUCTIONS ON MTV MASH THIS WEEKEND:
New series starts Sat 13th Dec

Go Home Productions first MTV Mash video will be aired this Saturday on MTV in the UK. The show starts at 7pm and will contain all new bootleg videos.
The track is a completely brand new GHP creation and will be shown amongst the videos in part 2 of the programme. I'll leave the artists involved a surprise but the track is very tongue in cheek and I have it on good authority that the video is hilarious.

DJ KEOKI GIVES PROPS TO GO HOME PRODUCTIONS:
GHP mention in 'Kill The DJ' CD

Seems that USA DJ Keoki is a bit of a fan of GHP. His latest mix CD 'Kill The DJ' contains a special thanks to Go Home
Productions in the liner notes alongside such names as Tony James & SSS,

Genesis P. Orridge, Pete Burns and Gary Numan....
The CD is available on Import in the UK and is a non-stop mash-up mix featurimg the
likes of Dead or Alive / Scissor Sisters /
Felix Da Housecat / The Ramones / Gary Numan / Ladytron / Hawkwind / Queen of Japan and
Sigue Sigue Sputnik amongst others and was released at the end of November.

Many thanks to Tom Tom for alerting me to the fact.

NEW TRACK ONLINE 'ELECTRIC SEX - PROBLEMS AT THE GAY BAR': Electric Six / Sex Pistols

Electric Six 'Gay Bar' given a shedload of beef via the Sex Pistols 'Problems'. Put together recently for the live dates. Went down well at the Toy Factory gig last Friday and was played by ETM on The Remix last Sunday. Judging by the mail I've received in the last 2 days, quite a few of you seem to want it.
Originally paired the Gay Bar track with 'My Sharona' by the Knack but was
beaten to it in terms of 'getting it out' by Big Nurse. downloads

NEW(ISH) TRACK ONLINE 'FAT GANGSTA': Different, in terms of being the original MTV mix.

For trainspotters, this is the original MTV Mash track NOT the 'Eve's Phat
Gangsta' version with added breaks and the 'Beatles in the toilet' intro.
So......it's never been available before.
Sum 41's 'Fat Lip' with Eve & Alicia Keys 'Gangsta Lovin'. It's brash and noisy and a great video was made for it too. Intervention by one of the artists people prevented it from being aired in the last series.

BASTARD / TOY FACTORY GIGS:
Both gigs were an absolute blast last Thurs / Fri. Thanks to all of those who came and enjoyed.
A few technical gremilns hindered the Bastard set towards the finish but it was still a great night
with 'Karma In The Life' doing the business at the end. Good to see the genius that is Osymyso
again and Cartel doing theirstuff to a full house.
Great reactions at the Toy Factory gig, from a crowd who were probably not too familiar with a
full set of mashed-up mayhem but thoroughly enjoyed it. Managed to play most of the Beatleg
Bootles set with some of the tracks from Part 2 getting their first airing.
Nice to see funny man Harry Hill letting his hair down too...

GO HOME PRODUCTIONS PLAYING AT BASTARD (ASYLUM) THIS THURSDAY:
This Thursday 4th Dec I'll be doing a set at 'Bastard' in London alongside Osymyso /
Cartel Communique.
The antics start around 8pm and go on til late. A couple more DJ's are lined up,
although not confirmed just yet, but if you can come along it will be well worth it!
The Asylum is located on the corner of Charlotte Street / Rathbone Place
under the newsagents. Nearest tube: Goodge Street and it's free to get in.

CHRISTMAS ON THE BLOCK / PRETTY RUDY BACK ONLINE:
2 older tracks available again

Xmas cash-in.
I haven't got round to doing a christmas track
this year but after a few requests, I've put last
years back online for the rest of December.

Also back online is 'Pretty Rudy' which quite a
few of you seem to have missed somewhere
along the line. The track was originally created
for the GYBO SKA challenge earlier in the year.
Both of these tracks are in the downloads.

Thanks:
To Eddy Temple Morris of the Remix and
Maurice Verschuuren of 3FM for giving 'Jacko
Under Pressure' some good airtime this week.

NEWS 26/11/2003

KARMA IN THE LIFE:
3 older tracks back online

I've made 'Karma In The Life' available for the first time as a separate
from the Beatleg Bootles mix today, along with 'Just Be Good To Paul' from
the Re:Mixology set and 'Return of The Weather Episode' from the XFM
Superchunk.
All tracks are available in the downloads section as usual.

NEWS 23/11/2003

JACKO UNDER PRESSURE UPDATE:
I have now uploaded a 'better' mix of the track. Here's a direct link.

Massive thanks to James Hyman for going to the most extreme lengths to get the track played on his
XFM show yesterday between 3-7pm. After his own copy refused to work, he put out an on-air
request for someone to download / burn and drop directly into the studio. The biggest of thanks
to Ronnie from Greenwich who managed to pull the feat off within 1 hour and deliver on time.

So there you go, a track conceived, created and played on national radio in the UK in under 24hours.

NEW TRACK ONLINE: 'Jacko Under Pressure'
a tongue-in-cheek homage to the king of pop

Couldn't resist this one.
On Friday a pic in the London Evening Standard had the caption: Under Pressure - Michael Jackson, in a piece about his recent arrest. The article gave me an idea
or three and a few hours later I ended
up with 'Jacko Under Pressure'.
It uses Michaels 'Rock With You' and the
Queen / Bowie classic, with a few other
bits and pieces thrown in for good
measure. In a quirk of fate, I found out that
'Under Pressure' hit the No1 spot in the UK,
22 years ago this weekend. Strange.
Funnily enough the 'Rock With You' vocal
also works with Queens 'One Vision' but
I'll leave that to someone else........
God knows how long this track will be
permitted to stay here, so grab it while you
can. Check the downloads section.

SUCCESS AT YORK CITY:

Good news all round at the weekend. 'God Save Madonna' was played at 2.45pm before the match

This has now prompted the powers that be to consider playing a GHP track at every home game
this season.

York City Football Club play with GHP

It's a funny old game...
This coming Saturday 'God Save Madonna' will be aired at the match between York City and Doncaster Rovers at Bootham Crescent. Wish I could be there to witness this but can't make it. If you go and hear it, drop us a line. Also good to hear that the airing of the track will be raising some money for the York City supporters trust which in turn will buy xmas presents for the local childrens hospice. Best of luck to York City.
Next stop, Highbury....

LOOKING FOR 'GOD SAVE MADONNA'?

If you've arrived here via that piece, go to the downloads section to find the

5 NEW TRACKS ONLINE:

4 New tracks and a mix from part of the Paradiso set are now in the downloads section.
'Let It Go' is based around Wood, Brass, Steels
'Funkanova' track with elements of Basement Jaxx
'Romeo'. 'Ray Of Jam (Demo)' is the idea that led to
Ray of Gob. 'God Save Madonna' is another mix
tested at that time but was held back until now.
There is also an 11minute mix 'Absolutely Daft Girls' that blends together three older tracks from
last year. It uses 'Like I Absolutely Love You' / 'Daft Britney' / 'Girls Don't Stop Til They Get Enough'.

Finally, there's a new version of 'A Slim McShady' that was completed in time for Amsterdam but
not played due to Mr D running overtime.....
