13/06/2006 NEW Go Home Productions track
online "Flaming Mary Can (Out) Run Prince" // MP3 request
updates
Brand
new GHP track online for you to download from the mp3
section "Flaming Mary Can (Out) Run Prince" is pretty
much what it says on the tin. The Flaming Lips, Mary J Blige, Can,
Run DMC, Prince. It builds on the similarity between the Lips
'The W.A.N.D.' and Can's 'Halleluwah'. Best described as 'Hip Hop
meets Psychedelia in a Krautrock grind-fest'
Also online are the most requested 'old' tracks of late: Oasis Are Gaye (Sexual Wonderwall) / Psychelectrodelica / Jet Lady
Joe / Essex Doves / Shannon Stone
Ultrathin / Waing For A Destiny / Beatleg Bootles (Volume One)All tracks are in the mp3 section

Congratulations to Watford (my home town) for getting promotion
to the Premiership today.
And massive congratulations for Thierry Henry committing his future to
Arsenal (my heroes, my club).
Best of luck for Theo, Ashley and Sol for the World Cup. Bring on the new season!
28/04/2006 Rapture Riders on ABC's Alias tv show: GHP's Blondie vs The Doors
track used in the latest episode.
Thanks
for the stack of emails regarding 'Rapture Riders' usage in the most
recent episode of Alias, that was aired on ABC in the states
this week.
It appeared quite prominently in the rooftop / club scene of the 'There
is only one Sydney Bristow' episode.
(Season 5-12).
Stars Jennifer Garner.
The Rapture Riders single / promois still doing the rounds.
It is currently #11 in the USA
Billboard
Hot Dance Club Play Chart and the video is the
#1 most added to TV. Blondie vs The Doors also reached a peak position of #12 in the Finland
Top 40 singles chart (now at #14).
The single is set for release in Australia this weekend (29/04/2006) and
again, has been receiving heavy airplay and primetime TV slots, the past
couple of weeks.
NEW
GHP Bootleg / Mash-up for download: see
mp3 section "Don't Hold Back (Sweet
Jane)" is the first one in ages.
Consider it the new offspring of "Wrapped Detective" eg:
a lot going on.
Combines Chemical Brothers / Velvet Underground / Adina Howard / MARRS
/ U2 / Blur.
The idea came about whilst working on new full length mixes and promo's
this week, that should see the light of day soon.
Also uploaded the original GHP / Allen Dean "Rapture Riders"
EP as it was intended.
"Karma In The Life" (Beatles / Radiohead) // "Rock
With Addiction" (Ashanti / Janes Addiction) are both back online
as well, after a recent influx of interest.
....
....
23/03/2006 Blondie vs The Doors 'Rapture Riders' still continues to do it's
business here and there.
After being released as a 4-track CD in Europe, it's currently #39
in the Dutch Singles
Charts (after entering at 40 last week).
#24
in Italy (up from 37) and
is continuing to make it's way around the US performing very well in major
playlists etc single
review here in Billboard.
Blondie themselves have added the US / UK videos and
track to their Blondie
MySpace page talking of which...
...it's
also streamed up at http://www.myspace.com/markvidlerGHP
alongside some other tracks that you won't find on
this sites mp3 page.
For a start you'll find "Karmastition" up there,
to download, which was the remix I did for Alicia Keys back in 2004.
It was stifled by Stevie Wonders 'police' or whatever they're called
but I understand it may yet come out officially, due to the fact that
it simply continues to rip up dancefloors everywhere from Tokyo to
Blackpool and back...
Also up are the Vatican DC "Wow (GHP
remix) (streamed) and a new GHP remix of U2's "Zoo Station"
which I've never made available before.

Nice to see 'Rapture Riders' as a new entry in the DJ Mag Club Chart
at No18...
This
month's new issue of Keyboard Magazine features GHP
in an article on 'Mash-Ups', that may be of interest to those of you
who are into the 'techy' side of it all. Also included areLoo
& Placido from France and DJ
Earworm from the US. Look out for a forthcoming feature on GHP
in Classic Rock magazine, either this month or next.
If you reside in the UK, you may well have caught the Magic 105.4FM
tv advert
that has been regularly gracing the nations screens. As mentioned
before, GHP
did demo's for the ad (one of them turned into Marvin's Not In Love)
but the
final audio used was not in fact one of my creations
(although I have been credited for it in various media circles).
In the mp3 section I have made available several
of the demo's for you to digest and ponder over...
Also uploaded an exclusive new bootleg that was aired for the first time
on McSleazy's XFM Scotland show last week.
I have now indulged myself in one of those MySpace
web things. So if you have a myspace page of your
own and
would like to hurl love, abuse and your innermost
thoughts my way...feel free :) Naturally I will do the same back to you...
I have made available 3 tracks for you to listen to. "Mafia" and
"Are You Mad At Me?" which are original demo's and
"GHP Rids The World Of The Evil Curse Of The Space Invaders"from the recent 'Rock In Black' EP.
16/12/2005 Blondie vs The Doors 'Rapture Riders' Update / GHP 'Rock
In Black' EP now available / Up 2 Speed Comp CD
The
video for Rapture Riders is now complete (created by Addictive
TV). A sneak peak of it was recently aired
at the Amsterdam Dance event but the whole thing is pretty damn cool.
The Addictive guys used footage from the
Doors Hollywood Bowl concert, cleverly splicing to make it look as
if Jim is singing 'Riders', as no video was
actually created for the song. (screengrabs above) EMI are now lining up the full length version of 'Rapture Riders'
for a 12"vinyl release b/w 'Rapture' Disco Mix on January 23rd. More details as and when.
Go Home Productions 'Rock In Black'

Available on 12" vinyl only, the EP can be bought from the
usual independent outlets, some major and of course direct
from the Half

'Up 2 Speed', the GHP promo CD
compilation from 2003, is now online for you to download as mp3's.
There are 17 tracks in total, most of which were available around
the time of the first GHP XFM Superchunk.
All have been remastered.
Whilst trying to find the original masters I stumbled across a track
that I've never put online in any shape or form. "Radio
Houston" was created in April 2003.

Basically in two parts. The first featuring a few recent remixes that
I've done amongst other things and the second including more bootleg
/ mash-up material. If there's enough requests for individual tracks

10/10/2005 'Rapture Riders' see's official release, as new 'Blondie / Doors'
single. Also on new Blondie Best Of album. NEW GHP 1 Hour Superchunk mix for XFM's The Remix Show Oct 16th.
After
creating the track almost two years ago, 'Rapture Riders' (Blondie's
'Rapture' vs The Doors 'Riders On The Storm') is finally seeing a
fully sanctioned, official release on EMI Records / WEA International
this month.
I had the idea for the mix back in January 2004 and uploaded it via
my usual outlet
under the name 'Allen Dean' in a mock ep format (see
mashography). The track
eventually made it into the hands of Chris Stein who mailed me his
"fucking awesome" reaction, which in turn led to more friendly exchanges and a common
desire to get the track out officially.
After having successful meetings with both The Doors and Blondie's
management on
my trip to LA last year, all parties were keen to see the project
through to a release.
Both bands very kindly allowed me access to the master tracks of both
'Rapture' &
'Riders On The Storm' so the versions that will be available are new
mixes that I put
together, a month or so ago.
The
track has gone to radio this week and is lined up for a Digital /
CD / 12" release sometime this month. Digital / CD Tracklisting:
1) Rapture Riders - Single Edit 3'50 2) Rapture Riders - Full Version
5'41 3) Rapture - Original 7" Version 4'57
4) Rapture - Original 12" Special Disco Mix 9'59 12" Tracklisting:
A) Rapture Riders - Full Version 5'41 B) Rapture - Original 12"
Special Disco Mix 9'59
There is also a video planned for the single that apparently features
unseen / home movie footage of both bands.
'Rapture Riders' is also included on Blondie's new greatest
hits compilation, that is out next month on EMI Records. Blondie "Best Of: Sight & Sound" is released
on Nov 7th and is a double CD/DVD affair, compiling all the big hits
and
promo videos that accompanied them.
Blondie are also starting a tour of the UK in November, which is dead
cool. And I've been asked to DJ for them at the
Royal Albert Hall gig after party, which is dead cooler...

GHP residency at Ministry Of Sound: GHP hosting Eddy Temple-Morris
monthly 'Crossover' night at MOS.
Starting October 28th, I'll be hosting what will become affectionately known
as the 'Bootie' Bar once a month at Crossover,
which is a new clubnight at London's Ministry
Of Sound. It's all part of MOS's 'Switch'
night, where a whole host of DJ's
and artists will cover differing genres and styles, every Friday night.
'Crossover' is XFM DJ and all round top geezer-type, Eddy Temple-Morris's
monthly brainchild and he ever so kindly asked
me to 'bash out the tunes' alongside a special guest DJ each month in the
Bar Room, while Eddy does his stuff with the headliners in the Main Room...
Will keep you updated as to who is playing and when. Check

Pint / Blaknoisewhitesoul. GHP Theme Tune for new ITV1 series: Al Murray's Fact Hunt show. GHP 'Eighteen' Promo CD compilation available for download: early
tracks back online.
Along with the new Gang Of
Four single and album releases in September, there will be another
three GHP remixes seeing official release very soon.
Siobhan Fahey is releasing 'Bad Blood' as her next single and
a GHP remix is to be included on formats alongside mixes by Jagz Kooner
and Alan Moulder. The single is set for release in September on SF
Records, Siobhan's own independent label. Promo's will be doing
the rounds shortly. The ex-Bananarama / Shakespeares Sister singer
has been giving GHP's 'Pistol Whipped' a fair hammering in her DJ
sets too.
Seminal
reggae / dancehall artist Half Pint will be releasing a GHP
remix of his track 'Crazy' as his new single. After I created a dub
version for him earlier this year, Half Pint re-recorded some new
vocals and the final mix will see the light of day in the US next
month. More release details soon.
GHP's remix of Blaknoisewhitesoul's 'Sal The Swindler' is lined
up for a 12" release on the
U Discs label. The mix was given it's first airing on Eddy Temple-Morris's
XFM Remix show last Sunday. After the band encouraged me to 'attack
their track with a chainsaw', I didn't need much encouragement to
whip out and layer up some telecaster / crunchy bass and mellotron
action...
Keep
an eye out for Al Murray's (aka The Pub Landlord) new ITV1
series, Fact Hunt (yes, try saying it out loud...) I composed the title themes and incidental music used throughout
the show, that starts it's run in September. If pushed to describe
what it all sounds like, I would steer you in the direction of a cross
between the 'Black Beauty' and 'Batman' themes put through a metal
blender, with equal measures of hammond and brass thrown in. The music
used in the chosen subject round is best described as...tense.
Trainspotters may also be aware that the Frank Skinner Show, also
due for a new run on ITV this Autumn, contains GHP remixed titles...
Back
in 2002 I compiled the first 18 bootlegs / mash-ups that I created
onto a promo cd for radio stations / press etc...I've now remastered
all these old mixes and made them available for download in the mp3
section. I think there are a number of tracks that have probably not
made an appearance on this site since then and I know that a few of
you have been after them...now offline / new comp online.
A thinly-disguised new GHP mash-up is yours for the taking

GHP Gang Of Four remix set for single and album release on V2: To Hell
With Poverty(GHP remix)
Go
Home Productions remix of Gang Of Four's 'To Hell With Poverty' is to see official release.
After creating a demo edit for playing out at gigs earlier in the
year and
receiving a thumbs up and some prime time airplay from XFM DJ and
Remix
guru Eddy Temple-Morris, GO4 guitarist Andy Gill (who heard
Eddy's show)
put their recently re-recorded version my way, for an official remix.
The band have been excited enough with the GHP mix to release it as
the
b-side of their next single (an imminent 7-inch re-release of 'To
Hell With Poverty') and it will also be on the new Gang Of Four
album due at the end
of August on V2
The new
Gang Of Four album (provisionally titled 'The Embarrassment Of
Paleface') will be a 2 CD release.
The first being newly re-recorded selections from their first 3 albums
and the second CD is a collection of new remixes
by artists who have been influenced over the years by GO4.
Alongside the Go Home Productions mix, there will be remixes
by No Doubt / Beck / Moby / Massive Attack /
The Futureheads / Bloc Party / Hot Hot Heat / Yeah Yeah Yeahs / Ladytron
/ Dandy Warhols and more tbc.
Late Addition:
Go Home Productions DJ sets at XFM Remix night / Cargo London tonight: Barry Ashworth (Dub Pistols) is unable to make the XFM Remix night at
Cargo tonight, so in his place I'll be performing a
set at (10.45 - 11.30 // 12.30am - 3.00am with Eddy Temple-Morris). Venue / ticket / guestlist details here 07/06/2005

A GHP download feast: hardrive clearout time. Shedload of new (and old) and long lost tracks for you to grab whilst
available.
GHP Aborted Tapes Vol1 is a 12-track collection of stuff that has never
been heard before and may be of interest. Including stuff that was intended
for Beatleg Bootles2 but was abandoned and other suchlike.
And in the mp3 section you'll find a new track 'Yeah,
In The Shadows' plus a couple of older tracks that have been remastered. 07/05/2005
Word mag write-up: interesting article on the bootleg scene.
Blink and you missed it... Last month's Word magazine contained a 2-page write up on the history
and developing bootleg / mash-up / bastard pop / whatever tickle's your
fancy, scene's emergence into the publics psyche.
Interesting read. GHP gets a nod with praise for Rapture Riders / Ray Of
Gob / Making Plans For Vinyl etc.
You can read the article here
and here. 03/05/2005
Chemical Brothers 'Believe': GHP Louder Remix now available. Go Home Productions have contributed another remix to the Chemical Brothers
Remixed project. This time a downloadable EP of 'Believe' remixes is available,
in Bit Torrent form only, featuring more players from the bootleg / mash-up
/ remix
community.
GHP's Louder Mix was given it's first airing on EddyTM's XFM Remix show
on Sunday.
You can get the mix here. 26/04/2005
Primal Scream 'Screamixadelica': Primal's classic given a booty remix
reworking. You may be interested to know that Primal Screams 'Screamadelica' album
has been given a reworking by some players in the bootleg / remix community
and is yours to download at primalscreamremixed.com
Available initially as a single Bit Torrent file (details on the website
for those not familiar) and the set includes a GHP remix of 'Screamadelica',
that was given an airing during Eddy Temple Morris' Remix Show on XFM a
couple of weeks ago. 15/04/2005
'Uptight Killer' new download available: Stevie W / Killers / Stones
/ Bowie New track, free consumption. Get yourself along to the mp3
section. 23/03/2005
'Processed Waterfall' back in stock: GHP Kasabian / Stone Roses 12" After recent interest and subsequent high demand, the Processed Waterfall
12" is now back in very limited stock at
Half Inch Recordings and the usual shops and outlets.
The track has been receiving healthy airplay and clubplay of late. Black
Vinyl only, so if you happen to own the White Vinyl version from the end
of last year....consider it highly collectible.
Thanks to Eddy Temple-Morris for inviting me onto XFM's The Remix
last Sunday to play something old / something new in the last hour of
the show. He's been giving some nice airtime to my remix of Gang Of Four's
'To Hell With Poverty'
the past couple of weeks. The track is looking good for official release
in the not too distant future.
Also in the process of remixing Udiscs
signings Blaknoisewhitesoul, who release their debut aa.side Popgenius
(Song For Brian Wilson) // Sal The Swindler on April 11th. More news on
that soon. 11/03/2005
'Wrapped Detective ' (Full version) / 'Annie Rush': back online. Full version of last years 'Wrapped Detective' is now online in the
mp3 section alongside the first version of 'Annie
Rush'. 07/03/2005
Mojo vinyl countdown: Processed Waterfall write-up. Cool review of the recent GHP 12" 'Processed Waterfall' is in this
month's Mojo magazine here
This issue is well worth picking up. Great free cd with excellent tracks
from Pere Ubu, Wire, The Fall, DFA1979,
Futureheads, Radio 4 etc... 24/02/2005
Evening Standard online pick: www.gohomeproductions.co.uk Nice review of the GHP site and downloads, from the London Evening Standard
tonight. "Neatly put together with funk and poise". here 11/02/2005
New GHP track 'Breakin' My Bloody Process': Kasabian / Music / MBV club
mix. Breakin' My Bloody Process. This is a fleshed-out & bass-heavy mix
of a combination I've been playing around with live for a while now.
Started off as a straight a capella juggle over the Weatherall version of
My Bloody Valentines 'Soon' but after kicking it about
a bit more in the new year I've added some other stuff.
Uses Kasabian's 'Processed Beats' / The Music's 'Breakin' / My Bloody Valentines'
Soon' (Weatherall Mix) and retains elements of the Stone Roses 'Waterfall'
as used in the 'Processed Waterfall' mix. here
GHP vs Gang Of Four:
If all goes to plan you may hear an exclusive Go Home Productions remix
of Gang Of Four's 'To Hell With Poverty' (that I recently demoed), on Eddy
Temple-Morris's The
Remix on XFM this Sunday. 104.9FM (6-9pm GMT)
Andy Gill from the band has been suitably impressed enough to give me the
chance to remix their re-recorded version, that is due for release later
this year...
More Remastered old tracks back online:
Inbetween other stuff of late I've been going through a lot of the old tracks
and giving them a bit of spit and polish. This week I've added Essex
Doves (David Essex / Doves) / Paperback Believer (Beatles / Monkees)
/ Backstab Me One More Time (Britney / O'Jays) and Like I Absolutely
Love You (Justin / Scritti Politti). here 08/02/2005
'Rapture Riders': The Doors & Blondie to perform on the same stage.
The Doors & Blondie will be sharing the same stage at the Melbourne
International Music Festival on Saturday 26th Feb. The Doors will be performing
'Riders On The Storm' / Blondie will be performing 'Rapture'...but
at the same time? Check this piece in Undercover.com

New GHP Track for download: 'Freeezing Rain' - Freeez / The Cult
'Freeezing Rain' I've sat on this for what seems like a dogs age now. Time for it to
make an appearance methinks.
I created this last August in preparation for the Strictly Rockers
DJ set, that myself and Tone396 threw
down last Sept at Bastard in London.
The best way to describe it is as a 'Big phat slab of Gay Disco HiNRG glamness...with
guitars.'
Takes Freeez's 'IOU' vocal from 1983 (I think) and mixes it with The Cults
'Rain' from 1985 (I know).
At this stage I normally tell you that you should play it loud. Well how
about you play it LOUDER...
GHPblogged has been updated with the 2nd part of the Chicane story.
There are a shed load of unreleased tracks in mp3 format for you to grab,
including 2 live tracks from the BBC Leeds radio session that we did in
1994. here
WNYC interview 27/01/2005
If you missed the GHP interview on the Brian Lehrer show WNYC last
week, you can grab an mp3
of it here. Interesting to say the least.
'Ray Of Gob' made another appearance on the recent BBC2 Sex Pistols
documentary last week.
Thanks for the mail / texts etc....I still missed it. So, I've put the original
version of 'Ray Of Gob' back online. It has been remastered and sounds all
the better for it. I have also remastered 'Sexual High' and 'Shannon Stone'.
All three tracks can be found in the mp3 section 27/01/2005
New GHP Track for download: 'Lose My Freedom' - Devo / Destiny's Child 'Lose My Freedom' is a new track I've put together using Devo's 'Freedom
Of Choice' with Destiny's Childs recent 'Lose My Breath' single. You can
grab it in the mp3 section
Paperback Believer video: GHP Beatles / Monkees track online. A video mash has been created for the 'Paperback Believer' Beatles
/ Monkees track, that I put together last January. You can grab the Quicktime
Movie of it here or by 'right click / save target as' on the video pic
above. Many thanks to John Davies for putting it together. Apparently a
DVD copy is with Mr Dolenz...
You can still access the Madonna / Sex Pistols 'Ray
Of Gob' video here, just in case you haven't seen it before.
Thanks again to Red. 25/01/2005
USA radio interviews: KMSU in Minnesota / WNYC New York, Thursday 27th
Jan. Some upcoming GHP radio chat this week in the good old USA, on Thursday
27th Jan. WNYC NYC
I'll be appearing live on the Brain
Lehrer show on WNYC
93.9FM giving the low-down on all things 'mash-up' sometime between 10am-12pm
(EST) / 3-5pm (GMT). You can listen live
online here.
To quote the station: "The Brian Lehrer Show is WNYC's flagship news
/ talk program, broadcast in New York on FM and AM, and nationwide on Sirius
satellite radio, and the web at www.wnyc.org. Brian's guests have included
former President Jimmy Carter, Senator John McCain, journalist Andrew Sullivan,
rocker Billy Bragg, and Nicholas Reville, co-founder of Downhill Battle,
a music advocacy group. WNYC is the NPR affiliate in New York. With over
one million listeners it is the largest public radio station in the nation."
Should be fun...
