Go Home Productions remix of Max Sedgley's 'Happy' used in the new Bacardi TV Ad:

Those of you who actually watch TV in the UK, may have seen this ad already. It was first aired during Friday's Big Brother show on Channel 4 and has pretty much been aired constantly since. It's a new Bacardi Ad and it uses the Go Home Productions remix of Max Sedgley's 'Happy', that was released on Sunday Best back in March. Thanks for the influx of mail about this. You can still aquire the remix on vinyl from various online sources and you can still download it from iTunes The Bacardi ad is titled 'Blend and Assimilate'. More info here and here

A new 'Go Home Productions' remix is released on Monday 11th June in the UK. This time it's Nate James who has had the GHP treatment. 'Kingdom Falls' is Nate James new single on Frofunk and there are 2 GHP mixes on the CD single and 12" Vinyl versions: Kingdom Falls (Go Home Productions vocal mix) Kingdom Falls (Go Home Productions dub) The GHP remix is more of an electro take on James R'n'B original. The Tonights track 'Tiptoes' has been remixed by GHP and released on a new EP alongside remixes by Benjamin Ely, Nam Shub of Enki and The Tonights themselves. Tiptoes (Go Home Productions remix) is released on both CD and iTunes. The GHP remix takes you on a journey of Psychedelia / Breaks / Hip Hop / Electro and plain wierdness for 6 minutes or so.. It's for the new Soundtrack Remix album for the Japanese film Tekkonkinkreet. The original soundtrack for the film was by Plaid and GHP was asked to remix the track 'Dawn And Dusk Chase'. Well, you seemed to enjoy the MPFree EP from last year, so here's the follow-up. Six Pack is another virtual vinyl release. 1979 format. A double pack with free flexi no less. The first official release of an 'original' GHP composition is now available. The track '20 Days Till The Roof Falls Down' is featured on a new Coca Cola compilation album of UK-based artists / bands. It's called 'Uk:One-The New Music Collection' and is a download only release, available through iTunes (links below). The track was recorded, mixed and mastered in Watford, Summer 2006, if such info ignites fire in your belly haha... .....

The Mashed album received a fair amount of press coverage on it's release back in February. Most of it lukewarm to say the least. Check the 'press' section for most of the UK magazine coverage. Some choice quotes: "Utter Rubish" (4 out of 5) DJ Mag "Your sister will love it" IDJ "If You'd been around in 1972 and someone had promised to hand stitch you a pair of bell-bottoms, then delivered them in 1977, how would you feel?" Pitchfork recently gave a decent heads-up to GHP's LCD Soundsystem 'Us vs Them' Remix. It made their On Repeat and Forkast listings last week. They also offer up mp3's of old GHP tracks 'Oasis Are Gaye' (2002) and 'Sly Beyonce Walks Like A Nerd' (2003) which was one of the first tracks to ever receive a 5-star Pitchfork review. read here.

Comic Relief and Red Nose / Ears Day today...and those lovely people at the BBC asked myself and the genius that is Osymyso, to do a new mix. We were duly allocated an hour each. Stipulation?...it must have a 'comedy' twist. Funniest thing about it?......I thought red nose day was Feb16th and rushed a mix together one drunken afternoon, 2 days prior to that date. Two new official GHP remixes to look out for. Firstly Nirgilis '24 (Go Home Productions remix)' which was released 21st Feb on their 'Girl' remix album for Sony Japan. It's a Japanese release only, although if you search the high and low you may be able to pick one up on Import. Let me know... Max Sedgley 'Happy' (Go Home Productions remix)' is released on March 12th on Sunday Best Records. The GHP remix is getting very favourable reactions on promo at the moment. You can hear the GHP remix of 'Happy' on the Sunday Best Myspace page. The GHP remix is available alongside mixes by Ashley Beedle and Mr Dan on the 12". MASHED - Many thanks for all the mail regarding the album and its release last week (entered the UK album charts at No18 and sat on top of the Amazon bestsellers compilations for a while). Last week was completely nuts doing live radio etc...5 minutes with Nicky Campbell and Gabby Logan on BBC Radio 5 Live was a most surreal experience, at such an ungodly hour....still, can't complain at the coffee facilities at Broadcasting House. Jupitus was brilliant as always, you can listen back to the show here (until Monday).

Some Christmas leftovers to kickstart the year, as such. All round good geezer Nerm, who superbly host's BBC Asian Networks ElectroEast show (has been hammering a few of the breaksy GHP bootleg and remixy tings over recent months) asked if I'd contribute 20mins of madness for his Xmas special. Yes, it's that time of year again, so another GHP seasonal offering is waiting for you in the mp3 section. 	You've probably heard a bit about a new Beatles album called 'Love' recently, it's the Beatles 'mashed-up'. In Word mag this month there's a feature on it. George Martin and his son also discuss GHP's 'Paperback Believer'. click pic Billy Crystal was apperently seen on BBC's Children In Neeed Charityathon wearing a 'Rapture Riders' t-shirt, last Friday. The T-Shirt is made by Trunk click pic for link 'Rapture Riders' was also featured in the hit US TV show Entourage a while back. The track appeared in season 3 (episode 28).

2 tracks from GHP's 'Rock In Black' 12" are now online for the first time, thanks to the track receiving heavy airplay during Robbie Williams european tour (thanks Chris Coco). The track has also been popping up a lot on German radio. I've also uploaded the GHP Remixology Mix from August 2003, that I put together for the WFMU radio

Mark Vidler/Go Home Productions has just been confirmed for Sonarsound Tokyo 2006. Alongside De La Soul / Señor Coconut and his Orchestra / Afra & Incredible Beatbox band / Doravideo / Eliot Lipp Nobukazu Takemura / Optrum / Softpad / Tucker / Golden Pink Arrow and with more to be announced soon. The event takes place in Tokyo at Ebisu Garden Hall & Garden Room on October 7th / 8th 2006. More details at the Sonarsound Tokyo 2006 website. As promised, the Go Home Productions Blue Room Mix aired on Radio1 last weekend is now available for a short time as an mp3 download. Also streamed on the Radio1 Blue Room site. The mix seemed to go down very well with lots of new listeners, Rob da Bank praising the mix as being one of the best in the show's 5 year run. A new 20 minute Go Home Productions mix will be aired on the Rob da Bank / Chris Coco 'Blue Room' show on Radio 1 this weekend. Rob and Chris have been championing my stuff of late, giving all tracks from the GHP 'Rock In Black' 12" a good airing on their show and in their DJ sets.
